What ability, talent, interest, or strength would you bring to this position? I am the current recording secretary for MPLA and have volunteered to serve and additional year to extend my service, should the association be ok with that. in addition, myy years spent as a parliamentarian for the Colorado Association of Libraries highlighted my eye for detail, and my personal viewpoint that the records of an association should serve not only those currently involved with the organization, but future members. Meeting minutes are a particularly important record of the events and decisions made by an organization. My attention to the important details and ability to project what future generations of MLPA members may be interested in knowing will make me a good secretary for the organization.
What would you like to accomplish during your term of office? I would like to continue to help the MPLA board keep accurate records of meetings and important decision for future generations of MPLA members. I would like to help MPLA streamline recording keeping and organization, with an eye towards better utilization of electronic record keeping for the entire MPLA organization.
