Job Title:                      Bibliographic Services Clerk

Job Classification:     Part-time Hourly

Salary:                         $15.82/hr


Summary: Sorts and distributes materials and interoffice mail and processes new materials.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; plus a minimum of one to two years related office experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees of the organization.


Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems reasonably and effectively.


Certificates and Licenses:

None required.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job is predominantly performed in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.  The demands on the visual sense may be very high. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
