LOCATION:                              Rifle, CO

 

DUTIES: The Circulation Coordinator takes responsibility for ensuring that circulation at the Branch is consistent and up-to-date in its application of all policies and procedures from the District and Marmot.  This person is required to have specialized knowledge and expertise in all areas of circulation and Marmot’s ILS.  The job entails training and supporting library staff in performing basic circulation functions (i.e., check-in, check-out, holds, claims, notices, etc.), managing the circulation desk, overseeing the use of public computers, and scheduling the staff at the library.  Communication between the other Circulation Coordinators, Branch Managers, the Technical Services Librarian and the Executive Director is a priority to ensure all changes and improvements are fully communicated and training is consistent.  

 

As a member of the District’s Circulation team, the Circulation Coordinator is responsible for understanding and enforcing all District policies and procedures, and supporting the Library District’s mission, vision and values and setting the tone for customer service at the branch. The Circulation Coordinator is expected to be a team leader and a team player.
