Phoenix Public Library is seeking experienced, innovative, community-oriented, and technically proficient leaders to manage a branch library or a section at the Central Library. The system consists of 16 branches and the Burton Barr Central Library. Responsibilities include creating and implementing innovative service delivery programs in a customer focused environment, effectively working with community organizations, motivating and leading staff toward fulfilling the goals of the Phoenix Public Library's strategic plan, providing effective service delivery to diverse populations, and thinking and working independently. The candidate will have the technical aptitude to learn and use new technology and cloud hosted services/solutions, digitally fluent, tech savvy and passionate about promoting digital fluency and technology skills in others. 

General supervision is received from a Regional Manager, Deputy Director or the City Librarian through a review of plans, budgets, programs, and reports and conferences concerning difficult or unusual problems.  Currently there is one vacancy located at the Desert Broom Branch.  This recruitment may be used by the Library Department for any current or future vacancies over the life of the eligible list.

SALARY

$54,392 - $81,245 annually. Candidates may be hired up to $81,245 depending upon qualifications.
